Quote of the day!

15 Aug

004

During a recent conversation with a coworker, I heard the ultimate reason for why we have semi-colons.

He said, “The reason we have semi-colons is, so people who normally write in run-on sentences can feel good about themselves.”

Have a nice day! 🙂

What a great quote! I only wish I knew the proper use but then again, I reckon what your co-worker has said is spot on. Watch out for the semi-colons now! ;;;;; 🙂

My response to him was: Don’t worry about the rules. Write two sentences and you’ll never need the damn things. 🙂

I think we can safely say that there was just a little misuse of the semicolon in your reply. 🙂
      Thanks

I habitually write with semicolons. Then I go back and put in commas and full-stops…

Funny, I write with commas. Then I go back and create multiple sentences. 😉

I’m like Matthew Wright, only I leave the semicolons be! I love those little buggers… 😀
